Under the Union Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation National Statistical Office (NSO) Now ‘City Level Statistical Report’ will be prepared for these cities. Employment Generation: On the basis of the report, it will be decided which sector (such as service sector, manufacturing or mining) has the highest potential for jobs in these cities.

NSO will collect data on the following parameters to prepare the report:
Entrepreneurship: How many new startups or establishments have opened in the city?
Women Participation: What is the share of women-owned enterprises?
Digital Growth: How much has the use of internet and digital payments increased in business?
Ownership Pattern: How many establishments are running on rent and how many are privately owned.
Budget 2026-27: Support for ‘City Economic Regions’ (CER)
This scheme announced in the Union Budget 2026-27 Rs 5,000 crore It is part of the ‘City Economic Regions’ initiative.
Ranchi-Deoghar-Dhanbad Urban Cluster: This cluster has been specifically selected for infrastructure and industrial development.
