Varanasi, 06 April (HS). On the eve of World Health Day, an awareness campaign was conducted under the banner of Khula Aasmaan organization at Nishadraj Ghat on Saturday.
Dr. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, senior consultant, ART Centre, Sir Sunderlal Chikitsalaya, BHU, involved in the campaign, said that mental health is the most important component of health. Good health cannot be imagined without being mentally healthy. On this occasion, he discussed ways to keep people away from drugs.
He said that drug addiction is the biggest challenge to health. This year the World Health Organization has given the slogan of World Health Day as My Health, My Rights. President of the organization, Roli Singh Raghuvanshi said that due to the construction of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the income of the people along the ghat has increased a lot. Even after this, due to increase in drug addiction on the ghats, the quality of life of the people along the ghats has not improved much. Young people are also becoming victims of drug addiction along the ghat. The effort of the organization is to educate such people about drug addiction and not only save them from drug addiction but also make them aware about good health.
