News India Live, Digital Desk: The wait of lakhs of students dreaming of entering the world of engineering is about to end. National Testing Agency (NTA) is soon going to declare the result of the second session of JEE Main 2026 i.e. April session. According to official sources and media reports, the results can be released by 20 April 2026. Students will be able to check their scorecard by visiting the official website of NTA.
How will be the scorecard and how to check the result?
JEE Main Session 2 result will be available on the official portal. Students will be able to view their scorecard by logging in using their ‘Application Number’ and ‘Date of Birth’ or ‘Password’. The scorecard will not only contain your subject wise percentile marks, but it will also mention your All India Rank (AIR) and category rank. Along with this, NTA will also release the final answer key, on which no objection can be filed.
Qualifying cut-off for JEE Advanced 2026
Along with the result of session 2, NTA will also release this year’s category wise cut-off. This cut-off will decide which students will be eligible to appear for the ‘JEE Advanced’ examination for admission to IITs. This year around more than 11.23 lakh candidates have appeared for the exam out of which top 2.5 lakh candidates will be shortlisted for Advanced. According to experts, this year the cut-off for general category is likely to be between 93-95 percentile.

Enter your registration number and security code.
Your result will be displayed on the screen.
Do take a printout of it for future reference and counselling.
Next Step: Counseling and JoSAA Process
After the release of the result, successful candidates will be able to apply for admission in the prestigious NIT, IIIT and GFTI institutes of the country on the basis of their rank. The counseling process will be conducted through ‘JoSAA’ (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Students are advised to keep all their necessary documents like admit card, scorecard and category certificates ready so that there is no hindrance in the admission process.
