Udaipur, 06 April (Hindu). Under the auspices of the Indian New Year Samojutsav Committee, thousands of Matrishakti in traditional attire will carry Kalash in the huge procession to be held on 9th April on the Indian New Year Chaitra Shukla Pratipada. Preparations for this have started. Kalash distribution started from Saturday.
Ravikant Tripathi, convener of the Samajotsav Committee, said that in the meeting held at Vidya Niketan Sector-4, Kalash Yatra chief coordinator Dinesh Bhatt, Kalash Yatra coordinator Alka Mundra, Kalash Yatra associates Nanalal Vaya, Seema Khatik, Kavita Joshi, Rajni Dangi, vice-president of the Samajotsav committee, were present. Kalash was distributed to the women in the presence of patron Vishnu Nagda, social worker Prakash Aggarwal etc. Before distribution, Mangal Kalash was also worshiped as per the rituals.
Convenor Tripathi said that like last year, this year also the best three tableaux will be awarded. The tableau standing first will be given a cash prize of Rs 21 thousand, the second one will be given Rs 11 thousand and the third one will be given Rs 5 thousand.
Arrangements have also started regarding Mahaprasad to the devotees coming to the religious gathering to be held at Maharana Bhupal Stadium. Three teams each will be present at the three gates of Maharana Bhupal Stadium for distribution of Mahaprasad.
Meanwhile, the group of New Year Samaj Utsav Committee Keshav Nagar unit, under the leadership of city convenor Kunder Chauhan, distributed yellow rice and rice at business establishments from Jagdish Temple via Ghantaghar, Bada Bazaar, Sindhi Bazaar, Maldas Sehri, Hathipol, Ganesh Ghati and again till Jagdish Temple. By giving invitation cards, maximum numbers of people were requested to participate in the program on 9th April.
Similarly, under the leadership of Samarth Guru Ramdas Nagar unit convenor Sandeep Paneri and Mahendra Ojha, a vehicle rally was taken out from Parshuram intersection. This rally proceeded contacting the business establishments on the main roads and all the members of the society and everyone was requested to participate in the New Year celebrations.
