District Election Officer held a meeting regarding Pilibhit Lok Sabha elections

Bareilly, 6 April (HS). Took stock of the voting to be held in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections with District Magistrate and District Election Officer Ravindra Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan of Baheri Assembly Constituency of Pilibhit Lok Sabha. Along with this, a meeting was held with all the zonal and sector officers and FST and SST officers in the auditorium located in Tehsil Bahedi and necessary guidelines were given regarding conducting the elections peacefully and efficiently.

In the meeting, instructions were given to the zonal and sector magistrates that if anyone commits any disturbance at any booth on the day of polling, strictest action should be taken against the person concerned. Be sure to keep the list of voters of the disabled and 85 age group, the number of the respective BLO and control room with you. Sector and zonal magistrates were instructed to inspect the booths and also mark where cameras are to be installed in the booths selected for webcasting from where voters and polling personnel can be clearly visible.

For webcasting, ensure electrical arrangements at the booth and also ensure that the distance of the electrical plug from the camera is not more than seven meters. Sector and zonal magistrates were instructed to discharge their responsibilities with full dedication and there should be no laxity in this.

In the meeting, instructions were given to BLOs to distribute 100% voter slips from door to door and to make all the voters download 'My Booth' app and efforts should be made to increase the voting percentage. Instructions were given to FST and SST officers that at the time of checking of trains, videography of opening and closing of the trunk of the train must be done and all the information must be filled in the register and only the train which looks suspicious should be stopped. Whatever item is seized from the vehicle, its address, vehicle number etc. should be mentioned in the register and the register should be maintained.

Senior Superintendent of Police Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan instructed the Sector and Zonal Magistrates in the meeting to maintain coordination with the sector police officers and ensure that the vehicles in which the polling parties return after conducting the elections, have police forces for security purposes. . He directed that all the police personnel should visit their respective polling stations and on the election day, a list of people who can create ruckus should be made and their votes should be cast first.

Additional District Magistrate Administration Dinesh, Deputy District Magistrate Baheri Ajay Kumar Upadhyay, Area Officer Police and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
