Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Maurya held a formal conversation with media representatives during his visit to Agra district today. During this, he shared the achievements of the ‘double engine’ government of the Center and the state and fiercely targeted the negative politics of the opposition parties.

Talking to the media, the Deputy Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country and the state are today going through a golden period of development. They said that:

He said that today Uttar Pradesh has become the leading state of the country in terms of expressways, better road connectivity and strong law and order. Schemes like ‘Ayushman Bharat’ and ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ have brought radical changes in the lives of the poor. In Agra too, metro rail and other projects have given new impetus to tourism and the local economy.

Praising the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Shri Maurya said that today India’s prestige has increased on the global stage. He said, “Under the leadership of Modi ji, India is not only becoming self-reliant, but is also moving towards leading the world. Poor welfare is the basic mantra of our government.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the opposition today has become completely issueless and directionless. The opposition has only indulged in appeasement and casteist politics for decades, while the BJP government is working with the resolve of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. Taking a jibe, he said that those who have been the protectors of corruption are not able to see development work today. The public has now chosen the politics of development and has completely rejected the dynastic thinking of the opposition.

Assuring the people of the state through the media, he said that the government is committed to making the entire Uttar Pradesh including Agra the best state. This pace of development is not going to stop and in the coming times, Uttar Pradesh will set new records in terms of economy.

Local public representatives, officials of the organization and senior officials of the government and administration were also present during the dialogue.
