Kanpur Police recovered Rs. 9.25 lakh from the car


Kanpur, 06 April (HS). Naubasta police station, while checking the vehicle near the Housing Development Office, recovered approximately Rs. 9 lakh rupees in cash from a car on Saturday. There were two people in the car. Police is taking legal action in this regard.

Deputy Commissioner of Police South Ravindra Kumar said that in view of the Lok Sabha elections, Naubasta police station is conducting an intensive vehicle checking campaign regarding the model code of conduct. Under this, a total of Rs 8 lakh 80 thousand has been recovered from the possession of Atul Verma and Rahul Singh, residents of Damodar Nagar of Barra police station area, who were traveling in the car.

Naubasta police station in-charge said that when he was inquired about the money kept inside the car, he told that both the persons were involved in depositing money in the ATM. But could not provide any solid evidence or answer. After which the police informed the FST team and took possession of the vehicle.
