Meerut, 06 April (HS). Under the Voter Awareness Campaign SVEEP programme, various programs are being run to make people aware about voting. In which people are being motivated to vote in different ways.
On the instructions of District Election Officer and District Magistrate Deepak Meena, Shahid Raza Shravasti Cultural Party, through its artists, is making voters aware through folk songs at various places on 19th and 26th April as voting day. Sweep is being promoted to increase the voting percentage in Meerut. On Saturday, voters were made aware about voting in Ghantaghar and its surrounding areas. During this, slogans were raised that “When you turn 18, it is very important to vote”, “This is the identity of democracy, all citizens should vote”, “My vote is my right, it should not go waste”.
Art competition organized in every school
According to the sweep calendar (Basic Education Department), an art competition was organized in primary schools on Saturday, in which students were motivated to vote by making voter awareness related pictures. The students who made drawings in the competition at Alipur Jijmana Primary School were also honored by Dr. Kausar Jahan.
District Basic Education Officer Asha Chaudhary said that programs are being organized in schools every day as per the calendar. These programs will be organized in schools continuously till 24th April.
Under the sweep program at Shri Malhu Singh Arya Kanya Inter College, Mataur, all the girl students under the leadership of school head girl Payal Pal appealed to the voters to vote 100 percent. He said that everyone must vote, because voting is the basis of the country's development and happy future, hence first voting, then refreshments.
On this occasion, the girl students wrote very attractive voting request letters. Principal Dr. Neera Tomar praised the efforts of the students. Sunita, Dr. Nisha, Nidhi, Ravita, Suman, Anjali, Shalini, Mamta, Kalpana, Uma, Savita, Rachna, Neha, Neetu, Pooja, Neeraj, Arun etc. were present in the program.
