News India Live, Digital Desk: Amidst the ongoing war in West Asia, Iran has taken a very dangerous step. Iran’s powerful military organization Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared 18 big American companies like Google, Apple and Microsoft as ‘Legitimate Military Targets’. Iran has warned that Today (April 1, 2026) at 8 pm (Tehran time) attacks on the bases of these companies may begin.

Warning to employees to leave the area immediately

In an official statement issued through Iranian media, the IRGC has advised the employees of these companies and the people living nearby to move to safe places immediately. The statement said: “We advise the employees of these establishments to immediately leave their workplaces to save their lives. Residents living within a radius of 1 kilometer of these companies should also immediately move to a safe place.”

Why did Iran target these companies?

Iran alleges that these tech and defense companies are helping America and Israel in ‘targeted killing’ and espionage of Iranian leaders. According to Iran, these companies are not just business institutions, but they are playing a key role in gathering intelligence and planning attacks.

These 18 companies are under threat

The names of some major companies included in Iran’s hit list are as follows:

Tech Giants: Google (Alphabet), Apple, Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, IBM, Dell and Cisco.

Auto and AI: Tesla, Nvidia and Palantir.

Defense and Finance: Boeing, General Electric (GE) and JPMorgan Chase.

Social Media: Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp).

Donald Trump’s taunt: “Will they attack with ‘BB guns’?”

US President Donald Trump has reacted to this serious threat in his own style. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump mocked Iran’s threat. He taunted, “What will they attack with? Do they have ‘BB guns’ (toy guns) left? They don’t have much left to scare them.” However, the Pentagon and US intelligence agencies are taking this threat seriously and have issued a high alert for their offices in the Middle East.

Panic in the market and rise in oil prices

As soon as this news came, instability was seen in the global markets. Shares of tech companies have declined, while crude oil prices have increased due to fears of increasing tension in the Gulf region. Security arrangements have been tightened in cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where these companies have large regional offices.
