News India Live, Digital Desk: There was a stir at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (Amausi Airport) in the capital Lucknow when Air India Express An aircraft had to make an emergency landing. According to the information, smoke suddenly started filling the cockpit of the flight going from Bagdogra to Delhi, due to which the lives of the pilots and passengers were in danger. The pilot showed wisdom and immediately contacted Lucknow ATC and landed the plane safely.

Smoke in the cockpit and passengers’ breathing stuck

This incident happened when the plane was at its prescribed height in the sky. Suddenly smoke started coming out from inside the cockpit, which was a major sign of technical fault. As soon as the passengers on board the plane received information about the emergency landing, they started screaming. However, the airline staff tried to control the situation and advised passengers to remain calm. As soon as the information was received at Lucknow Airport, fire brigade, ambulance and security squads were deployed on the runway.

Sigh of relief after safe landing

Due to the promptness of the pilot, the plane landed safely on the runway of Lucknow Airport. Immediately after landing, all passengers were safely evacuated and technical inspection of the aircraft was started. In the initial investigation, it is being linked to electrical short circuit or fault in the AC system. The fortunate thing is that no passenger or crew member was injured in this entire incident.

Alternative arrangements for passengers

Air India Express has expressed regret over this incident. Arrangements are being made for another plane to take the passengers stranded in Lucknow to their destination (Delhi). Airport officials said that the aircraft has been ‘grounded’ for the time being and the DGCA team will conduct a detailed investigation into the technical glitch. Due to this incident, operation of other flights at Lucknow airport was also affected for some time, but soon the situation became normal.
