Rumors and Fears: Consumers are scared due to rumors of ‘running out of gas’ on social media. People are making advance booking to accumulate stock, due to which the pressure on the software system has also increased.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Ranchi Manjunath Bhajantri has taken a tough stance on the situation:

Inspection Orders: District administration teams are continuously inspecting gas warehouses so that black marketing can be stopped.

Emphasis on PNG: The administration has appealed to the people to use LPG as an alternative. Piped Natural Gas (PNG) Adopt the connection, whose reach is being expanded in the city.
