Moradabad, 05 April (HS). A person resident of Majhola police station area of the district has given a complaint to the police station, accusing a youth resident of Sambhal living in his neighborhood of luring and kidnapping his minor daughter. The complainant says that the girl also took cash and jewelery from the house. On Friday, the police registered a case against the accused youth and started searching for the girl.
The youth, resident of village Hayatnagar police station area of Sambhal district, lives on rent in Ekta Colony of Majhola. The young man gave a complaint to the police and told that his 16 year old daughter is a class 9 student. On the night of 28 March, she was sleeping with her mother at home. When the mother opened her eyes at around 12:30 in the night, the daughter was missing. The next day a search was conducted at the homes of acquaintances and relatives, but the girl was not found. According to the young man, e-rickshaw driver Rohit, a resident of Mani Bagh in Majhola, has kidnapped his daughter by luring her. The girl also took away her father's mobile phone, cash worth Rs 2,500 and some jewelery from the house.
Majhola Police Station Inspector KK Verma said that on the basis of his father's complaint, a case of kidnapping by luring has been registered against the accused Rohit today.
