Jaipur, 5 April (HS). While recording the statement of the rape victim in Hindaun police station area of Karauli, Rajasthan Judicial Officers Service Association has come out in favor of the concerned magistrate in the matter of torture and SC-ST Act. On behalf of Association President Pawan Garg, a petition has been presented in the High Court to cancel the FIR lodged against the Magistrate. On which the High Court will hear the matter next week.
In the petition, the State Government, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, State CS, Home Secretary, DGP, SP Karauli, ASP Hindaun, SHO Hindaun and the victim and others have been made parties. In the petition, it has been requested to cancel the FIR registered against the magistrate. The petition has also requested for action to be taken against the concerned police officers, for media to report the personal legal cases of judges with sensitivity and for providing security to magistrates. It has been said in the petition that before registering an FIR against the judge, it is necessary to take approval from the CJ of the concerned High Court, but the police officers disregarded this legal provision and directly registered the FIR against the judge. After the FIR was registered, the media published it and this tarnished the image of the courts among the common people. If FIRs start being filed against judges hastily and without approval, it will have an adverse effect on the judges and it will become difficult for them to give impartial verdicts in cases. It is noteworthy that the victim had lodged a report that she had gone to the magistrate to record her statement in a rape related case. During this, the magistrate asked him to remove his clothes and show his injuries.
