Moradabad, 05 April (HS). On Friday, the Fast Track Court of Moradabad has sentenced two real brothers to life imprisonment for the murder of an elderly farmer in Bhagatpur police station area due to mutual rivalry between two parties. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 each on the culprits.
Baburam, father of Jai Prakash, resident of Rampur Balbhadra village of Bhagatpur police station area, was beaten to death. This incident happened on October 6, 2008. Plaintiff Jai Prakash had said in the complaint that on the day of the incident, father Babu Ram (60) was going to Thakurdwara on the date of trial along with son Ravindra and brother Satpal.
Meanwhile, on the way, Umesh, Manohar and Surendra of the same village reached there with sticks and axes and attacked. Father and son were beaten severely. Father died due to old age. A case was filed against four people on behalf of the plaintiff, after the arrest the accused were released from jail on bail.
