The most awaited train among these Dhanbad-Pottanur (Coimbatore) And Nagercoil-Charlapalli Includes services running on the route. These trains will give a new boost to the connectivity between North, East and South India.

1. Dhanbad-Pottanur (Coimbatore) Amrit Bharat Express

This train, which will establish direct connectivity between Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu, will prove to be a boon for the people going for treatment and employment.

Inauguration: From Tiruchirappalli station on 11 March.

New Route: This train runs from Dhanbad to Katras, Bokaro, Ranchi, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Vijayawada and Katpadi (Vellore) Via this will reach Pottanur.

Benefit: The halt at Katpadi will provide great convenience to the patients going to Vellore for treatment.

2. Nagercoil-Charlapalli (Telangana) Amrit Bharat Express

This train will become an important link connecting Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Distance and Time: The journey of approximately 1500 km will be completed in 28 to 30 hours.

Major Stoppages: It will stop at a total of 30 stations including Madurai Junction, Tiruchirappalli, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Guntur and Chennai Egmore.

Frequency: This will be a weekly service, which will run every Thursday from Nagercoil.

5 major features of Amrit Bharat Express

Push-Pull Technology (WAP-5 Engine): There are engines at both ends of the train, due to which it accelerates rapidly and provides a jerk-free journey.

High Speed: This train has been designed to run at a maximum speed of 110 to 130 km per hour.

Modern Coach: This train of 22 coaches consists of sleeper and general class coaches, which are equipped with mobile charging points, reading lights and bio-vacuum toilets.

CCTV & Security: CCTV cameras and emergency talk-back system have been provided in every coach.

Affordable fare: Its fare has been kept very low compared to Vande Bharat so that even the general public can travel long distances comfortably.

Indian Railways has set a target of manufacturing 100 more Amrit Bharat rakes in the current financial year, so that such trains will be available in every corner of the country in the coming time.
