News India Live, Digital Desk: The clash of ‘Toxic’ and ‘Dhurandhar 2’ scheduled to take place on March 19, 2026 will no longer happen. The makers of Yash’s film have decided to take the film to a safe distance in view of the ongoing war and tense situation in the Middle East (Gulf countries). Now this film will hit the theaters in the month of June.
1. New release date of ‘Toxic’
Yash shared with his fans on social media that ‘Toxic’ will now release worldwide on June 4, 2026.
Reason: According to the makers, ‘Toxic’ has been prepared as a global film which has been shot in Kannada and English. The Middle East is an important market, and the ongoing war there (Israel-Iran conflict) could have affected the film’s global reach.
Strategic decision: By postponing the clash, the film will get the benefit of solo release and the screen sharing controversy will also end.
2. Paving the way for ‘Dhurandhar 2’ (Solo Release for Ranveer Singh)
‘Dhurandhar 2’ directed by Aditya Dhar is going to benefit hugely due to the withdrawal of Yash’s film:
Date: This Ranveer Singh starrer film will be released on its old date i.e. 19 March 2026.
Benefit: Now ‘Dhurandhar 2’ will get monopoly of IMAX and Dolby screens in the entire country including North India. Also, a big increase in the collection of the film is being expected.
3. Some special things about ‘Toxic’ (About the Movie)
Director: Geetu Mohandas
Theme: It is a gangster action drama, set in the backdrop of Goa between the 1940s and 1970s.
Cast: The film includes big names like Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria along with Yash.
4. Opinion of fans and critics on postponing the clash (Reactions)
While some fans are disappointed with the wait for three more months, trade experts are considering it a masterstroke. The coming together of two films with a budget of Rs 400-500 crore could have proved to be a loss-making deal for the industry. Now both the films will be able to do business freely at their own time.
