Maiya Samman Yojana Update: Ranchi. A big gift of happiness has come to lakhs of women of Jharkhand. Under the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana, now the beneficiaries will not have to wait long for their next installments. The state government has decided to release the amount of 17th and 18th installment together. This means that a larger amount of ₹5000 will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible women in two installments of ₹2500 each.

Money will come into account by 25th February, preparations completed

According to the latest update of Jharkhand Government, the department has removed all the technical hurdles of payment. After the successful distribution of the 16th installment, the process of sending the pending installments of the months of December and January together has been started. According to departmental sources, by February 25, 2026, this amount will be deposited in the accounts of about 51 lakh women of the state through ‘Direct Benefit Transfer’ (DBT).

These women will get ‘double bang’ benefit

In the style of Amar Ujala, let us tell you that the benefit of this joint installment of ₹ 5000 will be available only to those women who fulfill the following conditions:

Age Limit: The age of the woman should be between 18 to 50 years.

Income Limit: Annual family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.

DBT activated: It is mandatory for the bank account to be linked to Aadhaar as well as mapped with NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India). If your account is not linked to Aadhaar, the money may get stuck.

Government Service: No member of the family should be in government job or income tax payee.

How to check your payment status? (Step-by-Step)

If you want to know whether ₹ 5000 has come into your account or not, follow these easy steps:

First of all go to the official portal mmmsy.jharkhand.gov.in.

Click on the ‘Login’ option given on the homepage.

Enter your Aadhaar number or application number (Application ID).

Complete the verification by filling the OTP received on the registered mobile number.

By clicking on ‘Application and Payment Status’ on the dashboard, you will see the status of 17th and 18th installment.

Previous pending installments will also be received together

The goal of the Jharkhand government is that no eligible woman should be deprived of assistance due to technical reasons. Women whose 15th or 16th installment was stalled due to some reason are also likely to get adjusted payment in this special phase. This means that more than ₹ 5000 can be deposited in the account of such women.

Amar Ujala’s special advice: Go to the bank and get e-KYC done

It is often seen that money from government schemes gets returned due to the bank account being inactive. Beneficiary women are advised to visit their bank once and check the status of their e-KYC and Aadhaar seeding. If ‘Payment Failed’ appears in the status, immediately contact your nearest Pragya Center (CSC) or the office of the Women and Child Development Department.
