New Delhi. A big good news is coming from the Central Government for crores of farmers of the country. The wait for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan) is about to end. The main objective of this scheme, run under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is to support small and marginal farmers in the cost of farming. The government provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments of ₹2,000 at an interval of every four months. The eligible farmers of the country have already received the benefit of the last 21st installment. Now the data verification work for the 22nd installment is in the final stage and the money will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through ‘Direct Benefit Transfer’ (DBT).

These farmers will get benefits: e-KYC is mandatory

The biggest feature of the scheme is that it is digital. The money does not go through any office or middleman, but directly reaches the farmer’s account as soon as the Prime Minister presses the button. This has eliminated the scope for corruption. Farmers are advised to ensure that their bank account is linked to Aadhaar and is in active status, so that there are no technical hurdles in payment.

If you want to know whether you will get the next installment or not, you can check your status with these simple steps:

Now enter your registration number or Aadhaar number.

As soon as you fill the captcha code and click on ‘Get Data’, your complete details will be visible.

Here you can check whether there are any errors in your documents or whether the payment of previous installments has been successful or not. If ‘FTO Processed – Yes’ is visible in the status, then understand that your 22nd installment is about to arrive.
