These measures have been taken to integrate with the new changes
According to a report, the mention of 'Ayodhya fall' has been removed in the eighth chapter of Political Science 'Indian Politics: New Chapter'. NCERT says that this has been done so that the answers to the questions can be linked with the new changes.
A 20 year old incident was also removed
References to Babri Masjid and 'Hindutva politics' have also been removed in 'Indian Politics: New Chapter' itself. The mention of Gujarat riots has also been removed in Chapter 5 titled 'Democratic Rights'. NCERT says the incident is 20 years old and has been resolved through the judicial process. Some places where the Muslim community was mentioned earlier have also been changed. In Chapter 5 itself, the reference to Muslims being 'deprived' of the benefits of development has been removed.
Demand for special measures for the protection of religious minorities
