News India Live, Digital Desk: Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar’s address on the first day of the budget session of Bihar Legislature has started a new war between the ruling party and the opposition. Talking to journalists outside the House, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav described the state government as a failure on every front. Tejashwi alleged that the government does not have any new vision for the development of Bihar and the Governor was made to say the same things which were being repeated for the last several years.

“Nothing new in the speech”: Tejashwi’s sharp attack

Tejashwi Yadav described the Governor’s address as disappointing and said that no concrete talk was made on the burning problems of Bihar like unemployment, migration and paper leaks.

Old Raga: Tejashwi said, “We heard the entire speech of the Governor, but there was nothing new in it. Same old things, same old promises. It felt as if we were listening to the speech of 2020 or 2022 again.”

Policy Void: The opposition alleges that the government is only juggling the figures, while the situation on the ground remains the same.

Question on Green Survey Report: “Sub zero on the ground”

Tejashwi expressed strong objection to the ‘Green Survey Report’ presented by the government in the Governor’s address.

Statistics game: Tejashwi taunted and said that Bihar looks green in the government files, but in reality only food has been supplied in the name of environmental protection.

Report Zero: He claimed that crores of rupees were spent in the name of environment and water conservation, but the survey report is ‘zero’ on the ground. Bihar is still struggling with problems like pollution and drought.

Government cornered on corruption and unemployment

Tejashwi reminded the government that the youth of Bihar are still on the streets for employment.

Paper leak issue: Referring to the paper leak that happened in the recent examinations, he said that there was no apology or improvement in this in the Governor’s speech.

Special status: Tejashwi raised the question that when there is a double engine government, why was there no roadmap in the Governor’s speech towards getting special status for Bihar?

Ruling party’s counterattack: “The opposition is spreading negativity”

On the other hand, the ruling party (JDU-BJP) rejected Tejashwi’s allegations outright. Government ministers say that the Governor’s address is a mirror of the progress of Bihar. From agricultural roadmap to industrial investment, Bihar is progressing in every field and the opposition is only doing politics of protest.
