News India Live, Digital Desk: On a big platform of the United Nations, Pakistan once again tried to corner India by raising the issue of Kashmir and water, but it got such a befitting and befitting reply which it might not have even expected. India not only refuted Pakistan’s allegations but also showed it such a mirror on terrorism and human rights violations taking place in its own country that everyone became speechless.

What happened in the UN meeting?

This whole matter is about a high-level meeting of the United Nations, where the management of water sources was being discussed. Pakistan also misused this serious platform and started making baseless allegations against India while mentioning the Indus Water Treaty.

But India is no longer one to remain silent in such matters. From India’s side, young diplomat Petal Gehlot took the lead in replying.

India’s befitting reply: Talk starts with water, ends with terrorism

Petal Gehlot made it clear at the very beginning of his talk that Pakistan’s allegations are completely “false, baseless and politically motivated”. He said that India has always respected the Indus Water Treaty and is playing its role as a responsible country.

But the matter did not stop here. After this, India launched a counterattack on Pakistan which directly hit its painful nerve. India said:

“A country which is itself the center of terrorism and uses cross-border terrorism as a government policy, has no right to point a finger at any other country.”

When ‘Operation Sindoor’ was mentioned

India’s sharpest attack came when ‘Operation Sindoor’ was mentioned. Petal Gehlot told UN that Pakistan should look into its own backyard, where despicable campaigns like ‘Operation Sindoor’ are carried out. Let us tell you, ‘Operation Sindoor’ is those incidents where minor girls of Hindu and Sikh community in Pakistan are forcibly abducted, converted to Islam and married to Muslim men.

India clearly advised Pakistan that instead of misusing international forums and spreading false propaganda against India, it should stop the atrocities on minorities in its country and curb terrorism. After this reply the Pakistani delegation had nothing left to say.
