Trump played the biggest bet, now Modi is the last hope for peace in Gaza?

News India Live, Digital Desk: When it comes to bringing peace in the world, big countries often look towards America. But this time the tables have turned. America’s newly elected President Donald Trump has made a gesture which proves how big India’s stature has become in today’s era. Trump has sent a special invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Government of India to stop the unending war between Gaza and Israel (Israel-Gaza War) and change the situation there.

this is an invitation‘Gaza Peace Board’ (Gaza Peace Board).

As big as it sounds, in reality this responsibility is much heavier than that. Let us understand in simple language what this whole matter is and why Trump remembered India.

After all, what is this ‘Gaza Peace Board’?
Talk of a ’20-point plan’ is coming out from Donald Trump’s office. The main objective of this plan is to end the war in Gaza and contain the devastation there. Trump’s plan is to form a special committee or board to decide how to run Gaza after the war.

The job of this board will not be just to talk. It will be given the responsibility of reconstructing Gaza, re-establishing the system there and ensuring that terrorism does not rise there again. America wants this board to have its own oversight, but also to include powerful countries of the world on whom both Israel and the Arab world trust.

Why was India chosen?
You might be thinking that we have no direct connection with this fight, then why should we? There is a very well thought out strategy behind this.

  1. Trust from both sides: India is perhaps one of the few countries in the world whose friendship with Israel is like a ‘brother’, while our relations with Arab countries and Palestine are also very old and strong. Netanyahu also listens to PM Modi and so do the Gulf leaders.
  2. Credit of India: The world knows that India does not impose its agenda on any country. We go there for development and humanity. Trump knows that if peace is to be brought there, then a neutral country is needed on which no one doubts.

What will happen next now?
According to reports, apart from America and Israel, there is also talk of inclusion of countries like United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia in this board. India’s inclusion in such a powerful group shows that we are now sitting in the ‘decision making’ room of the world.

However, the Government of India has not yet said any official ‘yes’ or ‘no’ on this. India has always been known to act on its own terms and with gusto. But if India accepts this role, it will be our biggest role ever in global politics. If peace returns to the streets of Gaza with India’s cooperation, it will be written in golden letters in history.

It is indeed a matter of pride that the world is now looking towards India for the solution to the world’s biggest problem.
