The Delhi High Court on Tuesday, April 2, granted divorce to celebrity chef Kunal Kapoor's estranged wife. Delhi High Court has approved the divorce of Kunal Kapoor on the grounds of cruelty. The High Court said that the woman's behavior towards Kunal Kapoor was not respectful and kind.
The Delhi High Court accepted Kunal Kapoor's appeal challenging the family court order refusing to divorce him. The High Court held that it is a settled position of law that making negligent, insulting and baseless allegations against a spouse in public amounts to cruelty.
Kunal Kapoor's wife's behavior is not appropriate
A bench of Justices Suresh Kumar Kait and Neena Bansal Krishna said, 'After considering all the aspects and facts of the present case, we find that the conduct of the respondent (wife) towards the appellant (husband, Kunal Kapoor) is not justified. ' Kunal Kapoor's wife's behavior towards him is not respectful and sympathetic. He further said, 'If one spouse behaves like this towards the other, it is a disrespect to the very essence of marriage. There is no possible reason why they should be forced to endure prolonged torture even while living together.
Kunal Kapoor got married in 2008
