Six soldiers found skipping duty and watching the match at Ekana Stadium, action will be taken


Lucknow, 02 April (HS). Six PAC personnel, including a police personnel, were found watching the IPL match while on duty at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Stadium (Ikana). In this matter, Joint Police Commissioner Upendra Aggarwal has written a letter to the PAC Commandant for action.

Mr. Aggarwal told that a match was being played against Lucknow Super Giant and Punjab King on March 30 at Ekana Stadium. Police and PAC personnel deployed in Lucknow and surrounding districts were put on duty in the stadium. When the match duty was checked by the police officers, one constable and five PAC jawans, mainly posted in Ayodhya, left their duty place and were watching the match. They have shown gross negligence towards their responsibilities while on duty. A letter has been written to the PAC Commandant for legal action against the negligent police personnel and PAC employees.
