Thugs handed over a bundle of papers to a woman who came to deposit money in the bank and stole 50 thousand rupees


East Champaran, March 02 (HS). A woman who had come to deposit money in Punjab National Bank located at Sugauli Station Road in the district was defrauded of Rs 50,000. According to the information received, Urmila Devi, resident of ward number 17 of Nagar Panchayat, had gone to deposit Rs 50 thousand in PNB on Tuesday.

As soon as the woman reached the bank, two thugs trapped her in conversation and asked to give her a bundle of Rs 2 lakh. After which the woman kept the thug's bundle in her hands. Meanwhile, the thugs made away with his fifty thousand rupees. After not coming for a long time, when the woman opened the bundle, it turned out to be a bundle of papers. After which she started screaming. People nearby gathered there. The woman informed people about the incident.

Police station incharge Munna Kumar, who reached the bank after receiving information about the incident, said that the incident took place due to greed for money. The thugs are being searched on the basis of CCTV footage.
