Mirzapur, 02 April (HS). District Election Officer Priyanka Niranjan held a meeting with Deputy District Magistrates and Sector Magistrates in the City Club Auditorium of the city on Tuesday and gave necessary guidelines for the guidance of Zonal and Sector Magistrates.
He said that the Sector Magistrate has an important role in conducting the elections in a fair and peaceful manner. All Sector Magistrates should visit every center in their area and ensure that the names and numbers of polling centers and polling stations and the names of VLOs are mentioned at the polling stations.
Said whether there are basic facilities at the booth as per the format related to AMF or not. If anything is missing then ensure it by filling it in the prescribed format and submitting the report. Also inspect the routes for heavy vehicles carrying polling teams, so that there is no problem in traffic. Also ensure that there is no polling place where a ramp needs to be built. Said that action should be ensured against those who try to intimidate, threaten people and obstruct free and fair elections.
Superintendent of Police Abhinandan said that wireless sets will be installed in the vehicles of all sector magistrates and training will also be given on the process of operating them. So that communication system can be ensured where the networking system is weak.
