The 18-year-old son of former YouTube CEO (Chief Operating Officer) Susan Wojcicki has died under mysterious circumstances.
Earlier this week, Marco Tropper's body was found in a dormitory on the University of California, Berkeley campus. It is suspected that he died due to drug overdose.
According to campus officials, Marco was living in the Clark Kerr Hostel on the Berkeley campus. He did not leave the room on Tuesday morning. Even when his friends knocked on the door, there was no response from inside. Due to which the door of his room broke and Marco was lying dead inside.
The circumstances of his death are not yet known and there are no signs at the scene, but Marco's grandmother, Esther Wojcicki, believes that Marco may have died of a drug overdose.
Marco was very kind and loved everyone, Esther said. He was talented in mathematics. He was consuming drugs. We don't know what type of drug it was. He was studying mathematics and his second semester was about to start in the next few days. We are all sad and thinking about the time we spent with Marco.
Meanwhile, the family is waiting for Marco's toxicology report. From which it will be known whether Marco died due to drug overdose or due to some other reason. However, it will take around 30 days for the report to arrive.
