Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the Election Commission took immediate action. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar ordered the DM of Samastipur to immediately reach the spot and conduct an investigation.

Samastipur DM Roshan Kushwaha, who reached the spot, said that he had received information about receipt of slips in Sarayaranjan assembly constituency. He explained where so many slips come from.
He said, “While preparing the voting machines, test voting is done on 5% of the machines, in which about 1,000 votes are cast on each machine to check whether the machine and the election symbols are working properly or not. In this process, a large number of test slips are issued. Of the slips found, some are cut and some are uncut. The matter is being investigated in depth.”
Opposition raised sharp questions
Politics has also intensified on this incident. Making this a big issue, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has launched a scathing attack on the Election Commission.
