Congress and AAP are two sides of the same coin, Shiromani Akali Dal is the only party fighting parliamentary elections on principles: Harsimrat Kaur Badal

Bathinda: Former Union Minister and Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal said here on Monday that Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are two sides of the same coin and termed BJP as the new Congress in Punjab. That is Shiromani Akali Dal. The only party which is fighting the upcoming parliamentary elections on principles. He participated in various programs in the city today, where a large number of Congress workers joined the Akali Dal. He said that Congress and AAP are holding joint protests in Delhi but they are trying to fool Punjabis by fighting elections separately in Punjab.

The Bathinda MP indicated that BJP has also lost its moral right to contest elections. He said that BJP has become the new Congress party in Punjab as it is importing leaders and workers and giving tickets for the Lok Sabha elections. He said that this is being done to snatch power from someone. Bibi Badal stressed that Punjabis have seen this double game. Only Akali Dal stands on principles. We can give up power but will never compromise on our principles. We are with the farmers and the poor and are not after any power. We will continue to fight for the farmers and the poor until they get justice.

Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that the Akali Dal will continue to represent the aspirations of Punjabis and will never compromise with their demands. He said that in the last seven years, both the Congress and AAP governments have neglected Bathinda constituency and the city. In the last seven years, both the parties have failed to bring even a single major project in the city. During the city tour, a large number of people, especially women, met Bibi Badal and told how the condition of even basic urban facilities has deteriorated in the last seven years under the Congress and current AAP rule. , The women said that the streets have not been repaired for many years and the street lights are also bad. He also complained that the condition of water supply and sewage facilities is also poor which leads to floods during monsoon days.
