News India Live, Digital Desk: The election atmosphere in Bihar has become completely heated and the war of words between the leaders has intensified. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again made a direct and sharp attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav from the soil of Bihar. Without naming Tejashwi, he described Tejashwi as the ‘Prince of Jungle Raj’ and said that if ‘Bhaiya’ government comes to power, the Katte rule will return in Bihar and the industry of kidnapping and extortion will reopen.

What did PM Modi say?

Addressing an election rally, PM Modi reminded the people of Bihar of the old rule of RJD, which is often referred to as ‘Jungle Raj’. He said, “Today there is NDA government in Bihar, so the son of the poor is lighting the lamp. But if they (RJD) come, then lanterns will be lit in Bihar again, but only in the house of one family. The rest of Bihar will drown in darkness.”

The PM further said, “Those who are roaming around in helicopters taking credit for jobs, why don’t they tell people how many people were fired when their parents were in power? They don’t want to remind the people of Bihar of the old days.”

In his most scathing attack, he said, “Tell me, do you want to see those days again? Do you want the future of your children to be played with? If these people come, the same thing will happen again, there will be beatings, there will be kidnappings and it will be difficult to return home before evening.”

Even the promise of job was targeted

PM Modi also took a dig at Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of 10 lakh jobs. He said, “Nowadays some people are shouting ‘job-job’, but when their government was in power, no one tells how many people they gave jobs. The truth is that the NDA government has provided employment to lakhs of youth in Bihar and will continue to do so in future also.”

Why is this statement important?

This statement of Prime Minister Modi directly addresses the youth who may not be as familiar with the old RJD regime. The strategy of BJP and NDA is clear that it wants to keep RJD’s ‘Jungle Raj’ of the last 15 years as a big issue in front of Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of development and jobs, so that fear can be created in the minds of voters.

Now it remains to be seen what response Tejashwi Yadav and his party give to this direct attack by PM Modi and on whom do the people of Bihar show more trust – on Tejashwi’s future promises or NDA’s past claims.
