Rudraprayag, 01 April (HS). Workers who came in large numbers to attend the public meeting of Garhwal Lok Sabha candidate from Congress, Ganesh Godiyal, took out a general rally from Agastyamuni to Vijayanagar. Supporters coming from different villages of remote areas raised slogans of Congress Party Zindabad, Pahad ka Lal Ganesh Godiyal.
While addressing the public meeting in Garhwali, Ganesh Godiyal lashed out at the Central Government and said that the Prime Minister is taking votes from the public by lying. Every time before elections they make new promises, but in 10 years they have not been able to fulfill even a single promise made to the public. Cursing the Modi government, he said that promises like good days, two lakh jobs have gone in vain and they are playing hide and seek with the public. He said for the BJP voters that even Ghunda Ghunda did not come to Fukyan.
Godiyal said that the government is continuously robbing the youth of their jobs. By dashing the aspirations of the mountain youth for army jobs, this government has played with the future of the youth by bringing the Agniveer scheme and now by destroying the businesses of the local people on the Kedarnath and Badrinath route, they are giving it to outsiders in the name of big projects. The evil act of settlement is being done. Ankita Bhandari murder case takes place during their rule and the government remains silent. After which the Pahari mothers and sisters are afraid of sending their children to cities for education and jobs. Inflation is at its peak and devotees of Modi and Amit Shah are cheering them. The BJP candidate talks about migration and his wife is living in Delhi and taking salary from the Uttarakhand government. What good will those who cannot stop migration from their homes be able to do to the state?
Taking a dig at the BJP members, he said that it has been said in Garhwali that this government smears your queens and you try to lick them. Addressing the public meeting, former MLA Manoj Rawat and District President Kunwar Sanjwan called upon the public to warn the government by voting heavily in favor of Congress. In this meeting organized under the leadership of Block President Harish Gusai, more than a dozen retired employees, former and present public representatives took membership of Congress.
Congress candidate from Garhwal parliamentary constituency Ganesh Godiyal sought the blessings of the public by holding road shows and public meetings at various places in Kedar Ghati. During this time, he offered prayers at Siddhapeeth Kalimath and prayed for world prosperity. On his arrival at Ukhimath, he paid tribute to the immortal martyr Ashok Cashiv by garlanding the martyr's memorial. On the arrival of Congress candidate Ganesh Godiyal at Kedarghati, the workers gave a grand welcome with drums.
