Bhopal, 1 April (HS). Training for the polling personnel of all the assemblies of Bhopal district for the Lok Sabha General Election-2024 started simultaneously in two sessions on Monday. This training will be conducted in two sessions till April 5 at the designated venue of the concerned District Panchayat. Training started simultaneously at eight places today under the chairmanship of Collector and District Election Officer Kaushalendra Vikram Singh.
Bhopal District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Rituraj Singh directed the trainees participating in the training to understand the intricacies of the election processes. Leave the training hall only after resolving all election related queries. He said that mistakes made in election work will not be forgivable.
Rituraj Singh told the trainees that written instructions have been issued by the Election Commission regarding each point, which have to be studied and followed 100 percent. Emphasizing on carrying out the entire election work in the spirit of team work, he said that every polling worker is directly and indirectly monitored by the Election Commission. The reputation of the district is affected by the mistake of any one person. It is important to take full care that our reputation does not get affected under any circumstances.
He said that polling parties play an important role in free and fair elections, for this it is necessary for polling parties to be well aware of the election process. It is important to be aware of everything from the preparations before voting to the preparation of ballot account after the voting day and voting time is over. All the government servants deployed in the polling team should practice operating EVMs adequately.
The trainees were taught by master trainers about the duties and responsibilities of the polling team, appointment of polling agents at the polling station, proceedings to be conducted a day before at the polling station, pre-poll preparation and mock poll, pre-poll preparation and mock poll, mock poll. Order, change of machines during mock poll, sealing of machines after mock poll, commencement of actual polling, persons holding permission to enter the polling station, exchange of entry of voters at the polling station, election method in and around the polling station. Information was given about enforcement, voting process, special conditions during voting, replacement of battery, misprint on VVPAT paper slip, action at the end of voting, preparation and packing of election records, king, booklet form, etc. Apart from this, presiding officers have also been trained by master trainers.
