There is big news for NEET pass students waiting for admission in medical colleges in Tamil Nadu. The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Chennai has changed the entire schedule of the ongoing NEET UG 2025 Round 3 counseling for MBBS and BDS courses.
DMER has issued an official notice stating that due to the extension of All India Quota (AIQ) counseling dates, the deadline for Round 3 counseling of Tamil Nadu has also been extended. Let us know what are the new and important dates and what you have to do now.
New schedule of round 3 counseling
- Last date of registration: Students now for third round counseling 29 October 2025 You can register till.
- Choice Filling: After getting information about vacant seats in colleges (virtual vacancy) 30th October from noon Students will be able to choose the college and course of their choice.
- Choice Locking: Students to lock their choice November 1 at 5 pm Will get time till.
- Seat Allocation: allotment of seats 2 November 2025 Will be done on.
- Merit List: merit list 3 November 2025 Will be released on.
- Allotment Order Download: students their allotment order till noon on 8th November Can download.
- Reporting in College: Last date for taking admission and reporting in the chosen college November 8 at 5 pm Has been decided.
Keep these documents ready for counselling.
When you go for counselling, make sure you have all the required documents with you:
- NEET UG 2025 Admit Card and Scorecard.
- Marksheet of class 10th and 12th.
- Transfer Certificate (TC).
- Caste Certificate (Community Certificate) and Nativity Certificate.
- If you are NRI or from any minority quota, certificate regarding the same.
- Students who have studied from class 6 to 12 in Tamil Nadu will have to show a certificate proving it.
- Income Certificate is also mandatory.
How to register for counselling?
- First official website tnmedicalselection.net Go to.
- Click on ‘UG Courses’ tab on the homepage and select ‘MBBS/BDS’.
- Select the quota you fall under (Government or Management) and click on ‘Online Application’.
- Go to the ‘New Registration’ link and fill all the requested information and complete the registration.
- Pay the prescribed counseling fee and submit your application form.
- Finally, take a printout of your form and keep it safe for future reference.
