Trying to lose weight? Are you also making these 9 mistakes that are ruining all your hard work?

Losing weight does not mean just giving up eating or drinking or staying hungry for hours. Often, in order to lose weight quickly, people make some mistakes due to which instead of losing weight, the weight starts increasing. You may also be working very hard, but the result is zero.

This happens because when we starve the body, it gets scared and starts saving fat (slows down the metabolism). As a result, you feel tired and your weight remains the same. Let us know those 9 common mistakes which perhaps you too are repeating.

1. Starvation is the biggest enemy

When you skip meals or take in very few calories, the body thinks it is in starvation mode and stops burning fat and starts storing it. So instead of staying hungry, eat small and healthy meals during the day, which include protein, pulses and salad. This will keep your stomach full and the body will keep burning fat.

2. Taking protein lightly

Protein is not just for body builders. It protects your muscles and makes your stomach feel full for longer. When you remove protein from the diet, muscles become weak and metabolism slows down. Therefore, include eggs, cheese, pulses and gram in your diet.

3. Forgetting fiber

Fiber is the magic that keeps you from unnecessary hunger. When you eat less fiber-rich foods (like vegetables, fruits, oats), you feel hungry very quickly and end up eating anything indiscriminately. Fiber also helps in keeping the stomach clean.

4. Compromising on sleep

It may be surprising to hear this, but people who sleep less have a higher risk of gaining weight. Taking less sleep increases the level of hunger hormone (ghrelin) in the body. Then you feel like eating sweets or fried food late at night. Therefore, it is very important to take 7-8 hours of deep sleep every day.

5. Sweets and packaged food

Sugar and processed foods available in packets are the biggest enemies of your metabolism. These get stored in the body as fat and also deplete your energy. If you feel like eating sweets, eat fruits.

6. Drink less water

Your body is like a machine and water acts as oil for it. When you drink less water, the body’s fat burning process slows down. Make it a rule to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day.

7. Eating too many “healthy” snacks

Thinking that “if you are healthy then you can eat any amount” is a big mistake. A handful of dry fruits is healthy, but if you eat a whole bowl, your calories will increase. Eat healthy snacks also in right quantity.

8. Doing the same exercise every day

Our body is very smart. When you do the same exercise every day, he becomes addicted to it and burns calories less. Therefore, bring something new in your workout routine every 4-6 weeks.

9. Treat yourself to a post-exercise treat

“I worked very hard in the gym today, now I can eat anything!” – This thinking ruins all your hard work. After a workout, the body needs protein and not heavy food. After exercise, have a light snack like a fruit or a handful of grams.

Weight loss is not a battle, but an art of making small and correct changes in your lifestyle. Correct these mistakes, and you will see that your body will definitely support you.
