Jaipur, 1 April (HS). The District Election Office is making every possible effort to organize fair and fear-free elections and ensure adherence to the Model Code of Conduct. Deputy Director-Information and Technology Department Ritesh Kumar Sharma said that after the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, 130 complaints have been lodged by C-Vigil App aware citizens in the District Election Office, Jaipur regarding violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
Sharma said that a total of 129 complaints received on C-Vigil have been resolved at the district control room and ARO level. The control room located in the District Collectorate takes prompt action on the complaints and disposes them within 100 minutes through the concerned Electoral Registration Officer, but the average time for action and disposal of C-VIGIL cases in Jaipur district is less than 43 minutes.
That's why C-Vigil app is necessary in every mobile.
C-Vigil app has been prepared by the Election Commission of India to ensure effective compliance of the Model Code of Conduct in the Lok Sabha elections. Through which alert and responsible common people can lodge complaints of violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
C-VIGIL allows any individual to report violations of the Model Code of Conduct. People can send information about misconduct and incidents using this app. Within the time limit of 100 minutes, the concerned officers will resolve the problem.
The most special thing about this app is that there is an option to keep the identity of the complainant confidential. Through the app, people can make complaints regarding free seed distribution, money distribution, communal hate speech, liquid and drug distribution, fake news, fire arms display and other complaints related to the election process.
Citizens make a photo or video of the violation complaint and upload it on the app. After verification by the District Control Room the complaint is sent to the field unit. The field unit reaches the spot and takes action. And the report of disposal of the complaint is sent to the District Control Room and the returning officer is informed about the situation.
