Anti-terrorism squad arrests five Bangladeshis for infiltrating Navi Mumbai

Mumbai: A team of the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested five Bangladeshi nationals living illegally in Navi Mumbai, an official said on Saturday.

Vikhroli unit of Anti Terrorism Squad conducted search operation at two places in Ghansoli and took necessary action.

Five accused were caught from Janai Compound and Shivaji Lake in Ghansoli. He did not have the necessary documents to become an Indian. The accused Ahat Jamal Shaikh (age 22), Rebul Samad Shaikh (age 40), Roni Soriful Khan (age 25), Zulu Bilal Sharif (age 28) and Mohammed Munir Mohammed Siraj Mulla (49) were working as Qadias in Navi Mumbai. Were staying. Police is taking information about how he infiltrated into India.

Based on the complaint lodged by the PSI of ATS, the police registered a case under the Foreigners Act, 1946 and Passport (Entry into India) Rules, 1950 and arrested five accused.

Rabale police has registered an FIR and is investigating further.
