A shocking case has come to light from Patiala district of Punjab, where a 10-year-old girl died after eating a cake ordered online on her birthday. Besides, the health of four family members also deteriorated. Based on the complaint of the family members, the police have registered a case against the owner of the cake shop. The girl's family has appealed to CM Mann for justice.
In this matter, Punjab Police Officer Gurmeet Singh said that in the complaint given to the police on March 25, Kajal, a resident of Aman Nagar, Patiala, told that March 24 was the birthday of a 10-year-old child. On his birthday he ordered a cake online from a company at 6 pm. Who was taken home at 6:30 pm. The cake was cut at around 7.15 pm. After eating the cake, the health of the man and his family members started deteriorating. He also vomited. The girl slept at night. When they woke up in the morning, they found the girl's body lying cold, after which she was taken to the hospital and doctors declared her dead.
Girl dies after eating cake
Punjab official Gurmeet Singh said that he has received a complaint that a girl died after eating cake. There may be some poisonous substance in it. Postmortem of the girl has been done and a piece of cake has been seized and sent to FSL for investigation. Further action will be taken on that basis.
A case has been registered against the bakery shop owner under sections 273 and 304A of the IPC. Along with this, Civil Surgeon of Patiala has ordered to take samples from the concerned shop.
