News India Live, Digital Desk: The festival of Sharadiya Navratri is a festival of devotion to Maa Durga and worship of power. In these nine days, devotees keep a fast to please Mata Rani, worship and offer various kinds of bhog. Everyone wants his worship to be successful and the mother’s blessings remain on the family.

But due to lack of information many times, we include some such things in the puja, which are considered forbidden according to the scriptures. Due to these mistakes inadvertently, we do not get the full fruits of worship. Let us know that while worshiping Maa Durga in Navratri, she should not forget and offer them.

Keep these 4 things away from the plate of worship:

  1. Tulsi leaves: Tulsi is considered very sacred in Hinduism and is used in almost every worship. But offering Tulsi in the worship of Maa Durga is forbidden. According to mythology, Tulsi is the form of Vrinda, wife of Lord Vishnu and married Shaligram (a form of Lord Vishnu). Therefore, in addition to Lord Vishnu and his incarnations, Tulsi is not used in the worship of any other deity.
  2. Durva (grass): Durva is particularly dear to Lord Ganesha. Any worship of Ganapati is considered incomplete without Durva. But this is not offered to Maa Durga. Every goddess and goddess have their own favorite things, so it should be kept in mind what to offer.
  3. Aak or Madar Flowers: Aak flowers and leaves are usually offered to Lord Shiva. These flowers should not be offered to Maa Durga. Mother Goddess likes fragrant and gentle flowers.
  4. Flowers falling on stale or ground: Fresh and clean flowers should always be used in worship. Never offer to God, falling on the ground, smelled or withered flowers. It reflects disrespect towards worship.

Then what to offer to Maa Durga?

Mother Durga loves red color. Therefore, red colored things must be included in their worship.

  • Dear Flowers: The mother is particularly dear to the red jaggery flower. Apart from this, you can also offer lotus, rose, and champa flowers.
  • Dear Bhog: In enjoyment, you can offer home -made ghee sweets, kheer, malpu, pudding and seasonal fruits. Pomegranate and banana are very much liked in fruits.

The most important thing is that whatever you offer, do it with full devotion and clean heart. True devotion makes the mother the most pleasing.
