Kolkata, 30 March (Hindustan Reporter). Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee has given a new challenge while attacking the BJP. During a meeting in Kulpi in Mathurapur Lok Sabha constituency on Saturday, Abhishek took a dig at the BJP and said, “BJP is not getting candidates in Diamond Harbour! Candidates have still not fielded candidates at four centres. I would say there is no point playing behind the clouds. Nominate ED, CBI, NIA and Income Tax Department in those four centres. He has done a lot of work. Don’t stay behind the clouds like Meghnad, this time come to the public court and fight.”

BJP has not yet announced candidates for four seats in the state. These include Abhishek's parliamentary constituency Diamond Harbor and Birbhum, Asansol and Jhargram.

Abhishek also took a dig at Kulpi's meeting over BJP's talk of increasing the fund of Lakshmi Bhandar. Trinamool general secretary said, “BJP says that if they come to power, they will increase the amount of Lakshmi Bhandar to Rs 3000. They are in power in 27 states of the country. Did this happen in any state? He said that if BJP promises to provide free gas, I will withdraw my Trinamool candidates from all 42 Lok Sabha seats.

This time Trinamool has made youth leader Bapi Halder its candidate from Mathurapur Lok Sabha. For the last three times, the party did not give ticket to MP Chaudhary Mohan Jatua due to physical reasons. Abhishek also closed the gap between Kulpi and Mathurapur. Last time Jatua had won by three lakh votes. This time Abhishek Banerjee said that it is my responsibility to develop Mathurapur. This time the candidate here will have to win by a margin of more than 3.5 lakh votes.
