Alia Bhatt recently organized her first charity event in London. The actress hosted the “Hope Gala” on Thursday evening to raise funds for underprivileged teenagers in India through Salaam Bombay Foundation. Many well-known personalities participated in this program.
Alia attended the event in a stunning ivory saree by designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. According to the designer's Instagram caption, the six-yard drape in the antique ivory shade was made in 1994. The silhouette featured skilled silk work, with flowers embroidered with silk threads. Alia's two looks from the night – a white saree and a wine gown – grabbed attention. The actress also wore a large blue sapphire and diamond necklace with her beautiful gown. Alia wore a Bulgari necklace and matching sapphire ring. These are from the Italian brand's 2020 Baroque collection and are priced around Rs 20 crore.
There will be a question in everyone's mind that why is it so expensive. The answer lies in the details of the Bulgari necklace. It contains a 28.11 carat exquisite sapphire with 381 brilliant diamonds. It took a total of 700 man-hours to build it.
Hours after hosting the ceremony, Alia took to Instagram to share glimpses of the important event. She also released an adorable video in which she can be seen singing the song 'Ik Kuddi' with Harshdeep Kaur. Apart from musician Harshdeep Kaur, comedian Rohan Joshi and director Gurinder Chadha were also present there.
Talking about the work front, Alia will be seen in her home production film Jigra. The film is directed by Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota director Vasan Bala. Jigra will release in theaters in September 2024.
