One of these 3 may get Ashwin's place, know who is the strong contender?

Ravichandran Ashwin withdrew from the team after the second day of the third Test against England at the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. Ashwin's mother's health is very bad and on this occasion BCCI and the team have sought full cooperation from her. There is a possibility that Ashwin will not be able to play in the remaining two test matches. However, along with this, discussion has also started on who the board will select in the team in place of Ashwin. The debate continues as BCCI is yet to name Ashwin's replacement, but there are several players, any one of whom could be a part of the Indian playing XI for the next two Test matches.

1.Saurabh Kumar

UP's left arm spinner has once again returned to form. He was included in the team after Ravindra Jadeja got injured in the second test, but he had to be included in the team after Jadeja rejoined the team. But now that Ashwin is out, the path for Saurabh has become clear again. Saurabh was first selected in the team for the series against Sri Lanka in the year 2022, but he did not get a chance to play the match. Now let's see whether BCCI calls him back or not. However, one aspect is that it is not an ideal situation to see three left-arm spinners in the eleven. In such a situation, it remains to be seen whether the selectors remember Saurabh again or not.

2. Washington Beautiful

The other strong contender to replace Ashwin is Washington Sundar, who has played four Test matches. Sundar played his last Test match for India in 2021 against England in Ahmedabad, but there is also a big fact that Washington is more suited to the white-ball format. He doesn't have enough spin to take wickets. This certainly has a comparative advantage on overseas pitches, where much rotation is not required. In such a situation, whether he will play despite the claims or not remains to be seen.

3.Jayant Yadav

Now England needs an off-spinner who can spin more than his fingers. Since there will be no emerging young off-spinner in domestic cricket, the Indian management's vote may go to Haryana's Jayant Yadav, who is 35 and has played six Tests for India. He has taken 16 wickets in the 6 Test matches played so far and he is also a specialist red ball bowler, so the circumstances prove him fit in the playing eleven. In such a situation, the big question is whether BCCI will call Jayant Yadav for the remaining two test matches. In this current season, Yadav has taken 21 wickets in 4 matches, but most importantly, he has taken five wickets in an innings thrice. In such a situation, Jayant's claim is the strongest.
