New Delhi, March 30 (Hindustan Reporter) Bangladesh's tour of Afghanistan in July has been postponed. The Afghanistan Cricket Board was to host Bangladesh for a series of three ODIs and three T20 matches along with two Test matches after the ICC T20 World Cup.

“It will be rescheduled after both boards agree to play the series at another time,” BCB chairman of cricket operations Jalal Younis told Cricbuzz on Saturday.

Bangladesh had hoped to play 12 Tests in 2024 along with other white-ball matches, but will now play only eight. This came after their two-match Test series against Zimbabwe was rescheduled from May, and they opted to play only five T20Is instead.

However, 2024 will still be a busy year for Bangladesh after the T20 World Cup as they will travel to Pakistan to play a two-match Test series, followed by the Bangladesh team tour to India to play a two-match Test series along with three T20Is. .

In October, Bangladesh will host South Africa for a two-match Test series, while in November–December they will travel to the West Indies to play two Tests along with three ODIs and three T20Is.

Bangladesh have received a big boost as charismatic all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has informed the board that he is ready to play regularly in all formats for the country.
