We often see adult content (content only for adults) on social media platforms on the internet. However, these are removed soon after reporting. Soon such adult content will be allowed on Twitter. It is currently being filtered. But in future it will be announced with such adult content label.
Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, is working on a new feature. This feature will be such that it will connect users to content like adult content which is not safe for work. This means that users can join groups or communities that focus on mature content. Although you may sometimes see adult content on social media platforms, no one promotes it. However, X has not yet given any official information about this feature.
Adult label will be visible: If reports are to be believed, users who create communities for adult content will get this information in the settings. Its screenshot has been released by Daniel Butchuk, who is an analyst who keeps an eye on the development of apps. After this setting, mature content label will appear on that content. According to the screenshot, users who do not apply this label to their content can have their content removed by filtering. These communities can be kept private on X. Additionally, social media networks may also add an age verification process for these groups.
Not everyone can watch adult content
According to X's current policy, graphic media, adult nudity and sexual behavior for those under 18 is prohibited. This media is also not visible to people who have not added their date of birth to their profile. Dong Wook Chung, senior software engineer at X, posted on Friday that the label aims to make the platform safer for everyone. This content will only be visible to users who have verified their age. A spokesperson for the social media company said Chung is an employee of the company, but declined to comment further.
