Many rules have to be followed while traveling by train after 10 pm, these rules are not only for the passengers but also for the TTE. These rules have been made by the Railways so that passengers do not have to face any kind of problem in the train.
You can't do this after 10 pm
After 10 pm, all the lights in the train except one night light should be switched off, this does not cause any problem to other passengers. This rule has been made so that passengers can sleep comfortably. Apart from this, if you are traveling in a group then you cannot talk loudly after 10 pm, if you do so then action can be taken against you. During this time, the passenger sitting on the middle berth can open his seat, the people in the lower berth cannot stop him from doing so.
Rules for TTE also
Apart from this, food is not served in the train after 10 pm, if you want to eat at night then you will not be able to get it. You can avail the facility of e-Catering services, through which you can pre-order your food or snacks in the train. Even TTE cannot bother people to check tickets after 10 pm. However, passengers who have commenced their journey at night may face inquiries regarding their tickets.
