Huge quantity of arms and ammunition recovered in Manipur

Imphal, March 29 (Hindustan Reporter) The process of recovery of arms and ammunition continues in Manipur. In this connection, a huge quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered in the operation of joint security forces.

Manipur Police today said that search operations and area dominance were conducted by security forces in border and sensitive areas of hill and valley districts.

During the search operation one locally made Pompey RL, two locally made single barrel, one SMC carbine with one magazine, 11 hand grenades, two NMM mine bombs, three Pompey shells, two Para shells, two magazines, four grenade launchers, two Para 15 live ammunition with shell satin and cover recovered from Santhong Canal, Bishnupur district.

Raiding operations are being conducted across the state by the security forces.
