The network of roads of Uttar Pradesh is going to be stronger now! The government is taking an important step to further improve connectivity between western and eastern Uttar Pradesh. Soon, the Lucknow-Agra Expressway will be directly linked to the Purvanchal Expressway. The main goal of this project is to reduce travel time and make the movement of vehicles even more easy.
What is this new expressway connectivity project?
The state government has cleared the Expressway Connectivity Project. Under this scheme, a 7.8 km long new expressway will be built, which will start from the ‘Chennai Point’ (via dump) of the present Lucknow-Agra Expressway and will directly reach the ‘Joint Point’ of Purvanchal Expressway. With this, the two big expressways will be connected, which will make it even easier to go from western UP to eastern UP and Bihar.
Where will the new way be from?
The new 7.8 km expressway will start from an underpass (the road leading from below), which will be completely adjacent to the wall of the current ‘Eupida Industrial Park’. This new route will be directly connected to Purvanchal Expressway. Due to this, the vehicles will no longer have to move from inside the city of Lucknow, which will give relief from traffic jams and will save heavy time.
Eupida and tourism will also get a boost:
The project is also important for the UP Industrial Development Authority, which will now be directly connected to this new connectivity. This will make it even easier to visit the industrial park, which will give impetus to business activities and economic development. Also, tourists coming to cities like Lucknow will also be able to reach their destination directly in without congestion.
How much cost will come and when will it be completed?
This important project will be funded and manufactured by the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). A target has been set to complete the project in an estimated cost of about Rs 87 crore in just one year. This means that by 2025, Lucknow-Agra Expressway and Purvanchal Expressway will give an uninterrupted journey experience.
This new link will prove to be another milestone in the infrastructure development of Uttar Pradesh, which will benefit the economy of the entire state and will make the lives of citizens even easier.
