Lucknow, March 29 (HS). No court, no law could punish the notorious mafia or former MLA of Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party Mukhtar Ansari for 40 years and a total of 65 cases were registered against him.

Mafia don Mukhtar Ansari remained a big name and ruled the world of crime for the last four decades. But his first punishment was given in September 2022 when Yogi Adityanath's government was formed again in the state.

Talking about the figures, there are 65 cases registered against Mukhtar alone. At the same time, 11 cases are registered against his wife Afsa Ansari. Eight cases are registered against Mukhtar's son Abbas and six cases are registered against his younger son Omar. A case is also registered against Mukhtar's daughter-in-law Nikhat. Not only this, seven cases are pending against Mukhtar's brothers Afzal and three cases are pending against Sigbatullah Ansari.

The terror of Mafia Mukhtar Ansari was such that initially no case was registered against the crimes committed by him and even if it was registered, no one was ready or able to muster the courage to testify against him. After almost 40 years, when Yogi government was formed again in Uttar Pradesh and action was being taken against the miscreants, his first punishment was given in September 2022.
