Cab carrying passengers fell into 300 meter deep gorge on Jammu-Srinagar highway, 10 died

10 people have died in a horrific road accident near Ramban on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. As soon as information about the accident was received, police, SDRF and QRT team of Ramban Civil reached the spot and started rescue operations. According to information received from sources, a passenger cab going from Jammu to Srinagar fell into a valley about 300 meters deep near Battery Chashma in Ramban area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway-44. Police said that information about the accident was received at around 1.15 pm.

Rescue operation is facing problems due to rain

Rescue operations were started this morning. According to the information received, bodies of 10 people have been recovered so far. However, rescue operations are becoming challenging due to deep valleys, darkness and continuous rain in this area. Meanwhile, information has also come to light that the relief work has been stopped for some time. The biggest problem in the rescue operation is rain, due to which the rescue workers are facing a lot of trouble.

Jitendra Singh expressed condolences

Union Minister Jitendra Singh has expressed grief over the accident in Ramban. He said he has spoken to DC Ramban Bashir-ul-Haq about the tragic road accident. Police, SDRF and Civil QRT have reached the spot. Rescue operation is going on. I am in constant touch. My condolences to the bereaved families.
