Mumbai: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) seized Rs. A case has been registered against the Assistant Police Inspector for demanding a bribe of Rs 10 lakh. A bribe was demanded to get bail for an accused.
The officer said API Kailash Jaywant Tokhale of Crime Unit-1 of Kashimira police station has not been arrested yet. A case of fraud was registered against one of the accused at Virar police station and API Kailash was investigating the crime.
API Kailash asked for money from his brother to help this accused get bail. A demand of Rs 10 lakh was made. But he did not want to pay the bribe amount so he lodged a complaint with the Thane unit of the Anti Corruption Bureau. They are investigating the matter.
