Ranchi, March 28 (HS). CCL achieved the coal production target of 84 million tonnes set for the financial year 2023-24 with four days left. 84 million tonnes was the highest production target ever. Most of the fields of CCL have achieved their production targets well ahead of schedule.
With the commendable help of Government of India, State Government, Coal India Limited, associate companies, local administration and stakeholders, it has achieved its production target ahead of schedule.
In this regard, a team was formed comprising the CMD of CCL, directors, heads of departments of the headquarters and general managers of the regions, which was continuously monitoring and supporting the production process. This team was going to the areas and boosting the enthusiasm of the workers so that all the officers and workers of CCL worked under a team spirit, as a result of which CCL achieved its production target before time.
CCL is operating mining activities in eight districts of Jharkhand – Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Chatra, Bokaro, Giridih, Palamu and Latehar. Coal is being supplied by CCL to various thermal power plants in the country including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand and other states of the country.
CCL is committed to the inclusive development of stakeholders in and around its command areas and various public welfare schemes are operated by CCL. The people of CCL's command areas and surrounding areas get the benefits of these schemes. CCL is celebrating Labor Day every day and Coal Production Day every Friday and Tuesday.
On this important achievement, CCL CMD Dr. B. All the directors including Veera Reddy heartily congratulated the entire CCL family and said that the entire CCL family has made a commendable contribution in completing this difficult task by overcoming all the obstacles and Team CCL will continue to set new records in the future.
